The largest animal festival on the Central Coast

The 11th annual Wags n' Whiskers Festival drew more than 1,700 visitors and a record number of sponsors, vendors and animals groups. The event inspired forever homes for 45 dogs, cats and bunnies.

Every year, our free, family-friendly festival promotes adoption and highlights the wonderful shelters, rescue groups and local businesses that help homeless animals. It also creates networking opportunities and raises funds for C.A.R.E.4Paws and our critical work to ensure animals don't end up homeless in the first place.

Fun festival features:

  • Adoptable dogs, cats, bunnies and birds from 25 animal shelters and rescue groups

  • Vendors sharing new pet products and animal wellness tips

  • Best in Show, our top contest with three different categories (more info below)

  • A Paws Up For Pets Youth Booth with a petting zoo, face painting and other special activities

Sponsorship & Vendor Opportunities

Support the 12th Annual Wags n' Whiskers Festival

As a vendor, your company will be able to connect with hundreds of festival-goers who're eager to learn about your products and services. Festival sponsors also receive attention and promotion through TV, radio and print advertisements, social media campaigns and on this website. This year, we offer new and exciting ways to participate that benefit your business while supporting a great cause.

We thank our 2019 sponsors for their generous support. View them here!

Become an Animal Ambassador

To help fund the festival and raise money for C.A.R.E.4Paws’ important work, we invite community members to become Wags n’ Whiskers Animal Ambassadors. As a festival Ambassador, you will be featured on our website, at the event and in our summer/fall newsletters. And we accept pledges over several months.

Animal Shelters & Nonprofits

Animal shelters and nonprofits exhibit for free!

Our festival has helped find homes for hundreds of animals. Local shelters and rescue groups can bring dogs, cats, bunnies and birds for adoption. We also welcome other types of nonprofits to come and promote their services.
Our event location

Santa Barbara City College's West Campus Lawn is a beautiful spot overlooking West Beach and the Pacific Ocean, about five minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. There are 1,000 free parking spaces adjacent to the park area.

Want to volunteer?

We cannot put on this event without our amazing volunteers. For example, we need assistance with setting up the festival, running our activities and in our Paws Up For Pets Youth Booth (a great opportunity for kids and their parents to volunteer together!). Want to join our team? Please contact volunteer@care4paws.org for all of our event volunteer opportunities.
