Mobile Community Medicine & Spay/Neuter Outreach

C.A.R.E.4Paws' mobile clinic, the only spay/neuter and veterinary clinic of its kind on California's Central Coast, is used throughout Santa Barbara County three to four days a week to provide affordable, accessible spay/neuter surgeries, veterinary care, vaccines, microchips and other basic services to pet owners in need.

Walk-in Pet Wellness Clinics
Our Pet Wellness Clinics run from 10am to 1pm every time we operate our mobile unit. View our schedule here. We offer the below services as well as the opportunity to sign up for spays/neuters and discuss the need for specific medical treatment. No appointments necessary.

  • Rabies (by Merial), $10

  • Distemper Parvo (DHPP), $10

  • Feline Distemper (FVRCP), $10

  • Bordetella (aka "kennel cough" for dogs), $15

  • Oral flea treatment, $10

  • Dewormer, $10

  • Microchips, $10

  • Nail trims, $15

Spay/Neuter Surgeries

Our mobile spay/neuter services are free for low-income pet owners who cannot afford to alter their dogs and cats at a veterinary clinic or a low-cost clinic such as the humane society. We perform 95% of our surgeries in our mobile clinic and we also partner with more than a dozen veterinary hospitals countywide. We send pets that cannot be spayed/neutered in the mobile clinic due to a health or other issue to one of our many partner veterinary clinics.

Spays and neuters need to be scheduled prior to a clinic day.

Contact info@care4paws.org or 805-968-2273 for more information and to make an appointment.

We are on a roll!

Our mobile clinic is a critical component of our mission, allowing us to travel directly to low-income, senior, disabled and homeless pet owners in our county’s most underserved communities, offering services that keep pets happy, healthy and with their families for life.

In 2019, we're on track to spay/neuter between 1,300 and 1,400 dogs and cats for free, assist more than 1,000 pets with free and low-cost veterinary care—up from 100 in 2017!—and host 150-plus vaccine clinics and other community outreach events. All in all, we will help at least 7,000 pet owners countywide with our services this year.
