Dear potential adopter,

I'm a happy, healthy lab mix looking for a forever home. I'm around four years old and have been living at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter for the past 2 years. While I like my friends there, I'm yearning for a home and family of my own.

I like kids and other dogs, and even cats, and most of all I like to play ball. I usually have a big smile on my face, especially when I get to go on field trips with the volunteers. I've gone for walks at Elwood, at the beach and I also recently raced in the Reef & Run. I even tried out for search-and-rescue, as you can see in one of the photos below. I'm a good running and hiking buddy and already know basic obedience. I'm strong, but I heal perfectly on leash when you ask me to.

They say I would do best in a family with dog-experienced owners who can give me direction, plenty of exercise and affection.
