Dear potential adopter,

I'm Marty, 100 lbs of pure love. I'm a four-year-old mastiff/American bulldog mix who may not look the part, but truly am a lap dog. I love people! My favorite thing to do is to be adored by you, nap with you, warm your feet, or just be near you in some way (I'll even help you do dishes). My foster mom says I have blossomed from a recovering couch potato to a sweet puppy, and am one of the most loving dogs you could ever meet.

I would be happiest as the only pet. I am workable with cats and like other dogs, but I do prefer to have my people in my home all to myself. I need a daily walk but as long as there is a bed and a kong available to me inside, I will sleep until you get home. No separation anxiety here, and I'm housetrained, know basic commands and catch on incredibly quickly, if I may say so myself. I'm the ultimate people pleaser.

I was found with bad hips and have since had my right hip replaced. Months later, I'm almost fully recovered (just building up muscle mass) and now love to go for walks, have play sessions with my people and admire you no matter what you're doing. My future owners should have the financial means to care for my left hip if replacement is needed, as well as be aware of the importance of infection, dentals, etc.

I do not need running or even someone home all day; just a best friend who will be as loyal and playful to me as I will be to you.
