"I attended this free seminar with my dog, Bubba. We adopted him from the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter about three years ago. At that time, we had no idea the ‘backlash' we would get for adopting a pitbull! Since then, we have worked to educate ourselves and our neighbors (and anyone else who will listen!) about the breed. We have also worked with Bubba to have manners, and be an ambassador for this breed.

I was very impressed that C.A.R.E 4 Paws would offer something like this Project ResponsiBull seminar to help educate owners and others about the breed. I found their information helpful and enlightening. I also thought the trainers, Auggie Mayne and John Sorosky, were great. They worked with Bubba and me one-on-one to help with any problems I've been having with training. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. I found it to be interesting, educational, humorous at times, and definitely worthwhile. It was great to be able to meet some other pit bull owners (and lovers!) in an environment that was so supportive of the breed.

If this is offered again in the future, I would attend, and would recommend it for anyone who is considering owning a pitbull, already owns one, or would like some knowledge about this misunderstood breed."
