C.A.R.E.4Paws hosts two Spay Days at Your Pals Pet Hospital
On Monday June 27 and Sunday August 21, C.A.R.E.4Paws hosted Spay Days for a total of 39 dogs at Your Pals Pet Hospital in Summerland. A majority of the dogs were pit bull terriers and chihuahuas, which are the type of dogs you see most of in local shelters. A big thank you to owners Dr. Bonnie Franklin and Bill Braastad for letting C.A.R.E.4Paws use their clinic, and to Dr. Tom Thompson and Dr. Amanda Lumsden and their tech teams for working so hard to make the spay days successful.

C.A.R.E.4Paws and ASPA's Spring Spayathon For Cats
From April 10 through July 31,
C.A.R.E.4Paws organized a Spring Spayathon For Cats for low-income pet owners in collaboration with ASAP (Animal Shelter Assistance Program). As part of the spayathon, we fixed 100 cats, with the ultimate goal of preventing thousands of animals from ending up in shelters this year and in the years to come. Participating clinics included CARE Hospital, Animal Medical Clinic, Vet's Here, Cat & Bird Clinic, Buellton Veterinary Clinic, Adobe Pet Hospital, Cat Calls and St. Francis Pet Clinic. Below are images from our April 10 Spay Day with Vet's Here Mobile Clinic outside Carivintas Winery in Solvang. We fixed nine cats (and six dogs), mostly females.
